Summer has flown, children are on their way back to school, and we are again facing the wonderfully exciting season of fall. We hope all our patrons had a lovely summer, and are ready to let the brisk breezes and bright colors of fall carry them through to another holiday season, another winter.
The change of seasons brings many changes to your library as well. For patrons in a hurry we’ve added a new Internet connection at our center OPAC station, limited to a 15 minute check of your email. We’ve added a new OPAC station up in the fiction area for ease of access to the Library’s catalog. New carpeting is on the way, and we’ve also designed a new library card, one with a convenient key chain addition, for ease in keeping your library card with your keys.
Click on this website to access a new on-line book club which delivers three chapters of a wonderful read right to your desktop every week. Check out the “Ask a Librarian” link to this web page for those who need help when the library is closed. Simply leave us a message and we’ll get right back to you. And don’t forget, to meet your research needs, our on-line data bases are accessible 24/7; all you need is a computer and your library card to access them.
We hope we are meeting your needs and expectations, and also hope you will let us know what else you would like from your local public library. Fall is an exciting season – make the Glen Cove Public Library part of that excitement for you and your family.
