The Friends of the Glen Cove Library
Some of their past accomplishments have been sponsoring lectures by distinguished guests, art and photo exhibitions, the purchase of a piano and fish aquarium for the children's room, book and author luncheons, special celebrations, such as the 100th anniversary Open House, cosponsorship of programs, and most recently, the design and purchase of a new banner displayed outside the Library. Besides collecting membership dues, the Friends raise funds by selling tote bags, mugs, notepaper with reproductions of historic photographs of Glen Cove, and copies of At Andersonville, a book written by Josiah C. Brownell, a resident of Glen Cove who was a prisoner at the Civil War prison, Andersonville. Click here for the membership form. If interested, please print the form and return it to the address listed.
